For those who are texting me, thanks...
The warning was issued this morning, we still have power...wich is a good sign. The weather changed completely this morning...it's cloudy and very windy.

Let's hope for the best...

Here's the official report:

Felix Moving Away From The Windward Islands And Strengthening...

At 8 AM AST the tropical storm warning for Grenada is discontinued. A tropical storm warning remains in effect for the islands of Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao. A tropical storm warning means that tropical storm conditions are expected within the warning area within the next 24 hours. A tropical storm watch remains in effect for the northern coast of Venezuela from Cumana to Pedernales including the island of margarita. A tropical storm watch means that tropical storm conditions are possible within the watch area...generally within 36 hours. Interests elsewhere in the eastern and central Caribbean Sea should closely monitor the progress of this system. For storm information specific to your area...including possible inland watches and warnings...please monitor products issued by your local weather office.

At 1100 AM AST the center of Tropical Storm Felix was located near latitude 12.3 north...longitude 63.6 west or about 455 miles...730 km...south-southeast of San Juan Puerto Rico and about 600 miles...965 km...southeast of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Felix is moving toward the west near 18 mph...30 km/hr...and this general motion is expected to continue during the next 24 hours. On this track...Felix will be passing near or to the north of the islands of Aruba...Bonaire and Curacao late tonight or early Sunday morning. Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 65 mph...100 km/hr...with higher gusts. Felix could become a hurricane on Sunday. Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 45 miles...75 km from the center. The minimum central pressure reported by an Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter plane was 1001 mb...29.56 inches. Additional rainfall accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are expected across the southern windward islands with storm total amounts of 7 inches possible. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible over the offshore islands of Venezuela and the Netherlands Antilles islands of Arbua, Bonaire, and Curacao.

Hurricane Dean intensifies in Caribbean; upgraded to category '4'

Hurricane Dean intensified late Friday, packing fearsome winds of up to 215 kilometers (135 miles) per hour, as it blasted across the Caribbean toward Jamaica, the US National Hurricane Center said.

The storm center was 1,290 kilometers (800 miles) southeast of Kingston, Jamaica, and 410 kilometers (250 miles) south of Puerto Rico, the Miami-based monitor (NHC) said in a bulletin at 0000 GMT.

"The bottom line is that Dean is expected to be a dangerous hurricane through the next several days," said the NHC.

Dean earlier left flooding and devastation in parts of the Caribbean, including the island of Martinique.

The massive storm plowed through the eastern Caribbean on a direct course for Jamaica and the tourist-heavy tip of the Yucatan peninsula after battering the Lesser Antilles before dawn Friday with heavy rains and winds gusting over 170 kilometers (105 miles) per hour, according to reports from Martinique.

OAKLAND -- Anyone who follows the A's close enough knows that Nick Swisher is an energetic, charismatic and likeable fellow, and on Saturday, more people will have an opportunity to find that out.
Saturday's edition of "This Week in Baseball" focuses on the Oakland A's, especially Swisher.

TWIB will show the new, young nucleus of the A's -- a team that has gone through a lot of change over the years -- and Swisher is the engine that makes the show go.

Not only is Swisher wearing a microphone during a game, but he gave the TWIB crew a ride to the ballpark, which also gives the audience more of a chance to know the young outfielder/first baseman in Oakland.

"This Week in Baseball" will air on FOX at noon PT (times vary, so check your local listings).

We were behind by 8 runs and I wasn’t feeling the game anymore. Then an angel came from heaven. Richie came out in the 8th inning and looooooooooooking good as always.
Rich is like a breath of fresh air…He made my day 
I love Canada man, hahahaha

He looked very strong and his arms were bigger then ever. Even the Mets announcers were talking about his unique body. I think he added some pounds and didn’t shave for a whole week…Loving that!!!!

I know that some of you didn’t watch the game because it wasn’t aired in the bay area, so this bulletin is dedicated to my friends. Also this bulletin is dedicated to Ana...Your husband was looking good tonight, don't over work him at night...we need this guy to be healthy!!!

Let’s hope he will stay healthy and be again our number 1 starter!!!

Battle of the bay recap (from a female point of view)

The A’s swept San Francisco in a 3 games series. Barry Zito was looooooking good but with the SF uniform he lost some of his charm. Danny Haren looked much better with the A’s uniform and hairy face. Travis was hot the whole weekend and the female fans really enjoyed this Cali guy. Nick Swisher needs to grow his hair back to me happy again. Eric Chavez needs to stop tanning a little, or is this his natural color?

Here are some pictures from the weekend

BTW, thanks Ana for a wonderful morning full of pictures that made me smile and wonder why in the hell Danny is married :(

"I was pretty excited when I heard about the thing with Pantene," Swisher said in late April. "It's a great cause, obviously, and anything I can do to make life a little easier or happier for someone who has to go through what my grandma went through, I'm all for it.

"My grandmother was my inspiration and strength. She always encouraged me to follow my dreams. It was a difficult time for our entire family as she bravely fought cancer, and there's not a day that goes by that I don't think of her."

Nick's dad, former big leaguer Steve Swisher, made the first cut a half an hour before Saturday's 6:05 p.m. PT start with the Giants.

"It's a great honor to make the first cut in honor of my mom," Steve said. "I'm proud of [Nick] for what he's done in the fight against cancer. It's a great cause and it shows great respect for my mother and his grandmother.

"But it was time for a haircut," his dad said jokingly.
